Description:

The historical region called Tuscia  included at that time (Middle Age) the South West part of Tuscany and Northern part of Lazio region. That historical area now a days is "technically" enclosed  by two neighbouring regions which today are equivalent to the South part of the Grosseto's province (Tuscany), almost the entire province of Viterbo (Lazio) and part of the coastal territories of the province of Rome . Are also visible in this map parts of the Umbrian territories ( North and East) and Papal territories (now a days belonging  to the Lazio region) on the South East part of the map.

Engraving Information:

This artistic reproduction of a vintage map was made using modern graphic procedures, but obtaining the results found in the antique copperplate engraving technique, as one can easily find out by lightly rubbing his/her finger on the map. This map, which is an exact reproduction of the original antique, is printed on cotton paper panels which are glued and mounted on a cotton cloth background "a stacchi" (slightly separated from each other), in order to allow for folding and easier transport. Finally, map is water-colored by hand making it a truly unique piece, worthy of the original old print.
